New York, NY- Definitive Jux artist, Murs will be releasing his solo CD, Murs 3:16 The 9th Edition on March 23rd. In conjunction with his album release, Murs will be performing on the The Definitive Jux presents Murs, The Perceptionists (Mr. Lif, Akrobatik & DJ Fakts One), S.A. Smash/C-Rayz Walz and special guests tour that begins March 21st in New York City. This concert tour will make stops in major cities across the U.S., including, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., as well as stops in Canada.

Murs (who hails from LA) sought out 9th Wonder of Little Brother & Jay-Z fame to produce Murs 3:16. It took him 6 months to track 9th Wonder down but after finding him 9th agreed to work with him so Murs flew to North Carolina for the recording of this album. Humbling himself, Murs let 9th have complete control as a producer. He followed 9th's lead and allowed him to sonically shape and mold the entire project. Murs gives his listeners a refreshing and honest look into his life through his rhymes. He's able to joke around but also be reflective and talk about real issues going on in our world today.

During his career Murs has collaborated with everyone from Company Flow, Little Brother, Jean Grae, Living Legends, Aceyalone, Shock G and many more. In fact his video for "Risky Business" featuring Shock G has been playing on "BET's Uncut" show since December of 2003. He will be performing with several labelmates as he hits the road on March 21st.
