New York, NY - DAVID BANNER—oftentimes known as the blunt-voiced abrupt Mississippian rapper who not only gets the party started, but drops knowledge as well—joins Ludacris and Chingy on the “Chicken & Beer” tour starting Monday, February 16th in Portland and ending Sunday, March 21st in Los Angeles. BANNER is also doing six dates for the “Bud Light Lounge” tour all in support of MTA2 – BAPTIZED IN DIRTY WATER on SRC/Universal Records. (Dates included).

The video for the first single, “Crank It Up,” is in rotation at BET and the song is spreading like wild fire across the South. In fact, one of the biggest trendsetting stations, Atlanta’s WHTA has recently added the record to its play list. BANNER continues to take the critics by storm with his terrific vision of southern reality – Mississippi style, so much so, he has garnered critical acclaim from outlets across the board: Here is what the press has to say about BANNER and MTA2:

“A wild-eyed bull session orchestrated by a great rapper-producer….his most appealing album this year, Banner is at his omnivorous best”
“The Albums and Songs of the Year” listing -New York Times

"...spooky and Jeep ready"
- Entertainment Weekly

"Rapper delivers social commentary with distinctly Southern rhymes."
-Washington Post
"...will rattle the walls in the clubs."
-USA Today

"Banner has no intention of changing his successful rap formula; he keeps the sounds as gritty and unapologetically crunk as ever."

“His not-really-in-tune singing can be exquisitely eerie.”
-Village Voice

-Miami Herald
