Word is that Gangstarr plans on departing Virgin Records after a mediocre push, which resulted in weak album sales for the group's latest album The Owners. The group has been signed with Virgin since 1998 and dropped two gold albums including Moment Of Truth and Full Clip: A Decade Of Gangstarr. Gangstarr remains busy working on music for Cee-Lo and Royce The 5'9" among others while Guru is rumored to be working on another Bald Head Slick project.
Royce The 5'9" has a new single out with production by DJ Premier called "Hip Hop" which is available for-sale on 12" vinyl at record stores.
