In a massive week for new releases, Outkast's double CD "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" debuted at #1 which sold 509,000 units in the U.S. according to Soundscan. It's an impressive feature considering the two-disc package containing a solo album for each member in the group. Current single "The Way You Move," from the Big Boi portion of the double CD is a top-30 hit on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop singles & Tracks chart.
New comer Obie Trice, who received production help from Eminem on his debut, debuted at #5 with his album "Cheers" which sold 226,000 copies. His latest single "Got Some Teeth" is #13 on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks chart.
DMX "Grand Champ" falls to No 7 in its second week on the chart. Sales are down 52%, to 150,000 copies which brings its two-week total to 462,000 units sold.
