Nas has finally set a release date for the second installment of his Lost Tapes series. He will unveil Lost Tapes 2 on December 16th. The album will be similar to the first, consisting of unreleased tracks, remixes and freestyles from his career dating back to the early nineties.
Nas made hs debut on Main Source's 1991 album "Breaking Atoms", appearing on the song "Live At the Barbecue," alongside Large Professor and Akineyele. In 1994, Nas's "Illmatic" became the staple of what a classic LP should sound like. His 1994 release "It Was Written" drew critical acclaim with songs like "If I Ruled The World" featuring Fugees member Lauryn Hill, but received mixed reviews from his core audience, who felt he strayed from his roots.
