J Records recently made an announcement stating that ex-Fugee member, Wyclef Jean has signed with them as a solo artist recently. Wyclef, who also has a record label deal with Clive Davis' outfit decided to move after disappointing sales of his previous album, "Masquerade", which was released back in 2002. Wyclef has stated that he is very happy about the move and has the utmost respect for Clive Davis, dubbing him the "Godfather of Music".
Wyclef will begin recording his new album on J Records shortly, with a possible album release later in the year.
