A federal jury has recommended Dr. Dre pay a British record label $1.5 million dollars. Minder Music claims that Dre illegally sampled Fatback's1980 song "Backstrokin" on "Let's Get High," a song from his "2001" LP, which moved over 9 million units. U.S.District Judge Consuelo B. Marshall has yet to sign the judgment, according to lawyers.
