Burbank, CA - Baby Ree Entertainment's top producer, Damizza, has teamed up with Westside Connection (Ice Cube, Mack 10, WC), DJ Quik and Knoc-turn'al for one of the most controversial West Coast tracks in a decade. Damizza's signature sound is both commanding and magnetic in Mack 10's single, Lights Out (off his soon-to-be released Ghetto, Gutta, Gangsta album on Hoo-Bangin/Universal).

"To get down with the two roots of the West Coast family trees [Ice Cube (NWA) and DJ Quik] and to be involved in this evolutionary phase of West Coast hip hop, is truly an honor," states Damizza. In Light's Out, Ice Cube refers to himself as the "young Osama", harshly criticizing the most recent disclosures of Jesse Jackson by stating, "You can tell Samuel L. I'm a keep actin'/You can even tell that m****f***er Jesse Jackson/Pay your child support/Keep your payments up/Put a rubber on/And don't f**k wit us." Mixed by west coast legend, DJ Quik and a hook provided by the multi-platinum Knoc-turn'al, add to what has been described as Damizza's "spacey west coast sound," (Sway of MTV News & the Wake Up Show).

Damizza is widely accredited for bringing West Coast hip hop to mainstream society through the production and coordination of many controversial songs - from Mariah Carey and Ja Rule's If We to Shade Sheist's Money Owners. Damizza's West Coast "spacey G-funk music" is changing the direction of current hip hop trends in a big way.
"Damizza is responsible for keeping this West Coast music legendary. He is one of my biggest fans and one of my toughest critics. He keeps it all the way real with me and everybody needs that in their lives. And he don't care whether you like it or not. Now that's gangsta!," states Mack 10.

Since the release of Light's Out, Damizza and his camp have been inundated with calls and emails of support as well as criticism. When asked about Damizza's producing successes, Jimmy Steal (VP of Programming KPWR Los Angeles) says, "His talent as a producer is unstoppable. He has a gift of bringing out the best in artists."

The video is set to shoot later this month. Light's Out has been added to the top two radio stations in Los Angeles KPWR (Power106) KKBT (The Beat)
