The office of Violator Management, the company who manages acts such as Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Missy Elliott, Mobb Deep, 50 Cent and many more was shot at in the late hours of Thursday. A number of gunmen had entered the office and opened fire at security doors on the 11th floor of the building at around 7pm (ET). No one was reportedly injured during the shooting, but various staff members of Violator were present in the building at the time, including Violator CEO, Chris Lighty.
It is unknown what caused the attack, but Violator has lost a number of clients following the failure of Violator Records, which lost it's deal with Loud Records at the beginning of this year. Possibly related? We will have to keep waiting on for further news.
