Creators Of The Legendary Lyricist Lounge Albums and Television Show, Bring The Best of Hip Hop… To A City Near You

Started in 1991 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan by Danny Castro and Anthony Marshall, The Lyricist Lounge has come to be known as one of the most respected, supportive organizations for emerging hip hop talent. For years, scores of up-and-coming artists have gathered at The Lounge for the best in uncensored Hip-Hop, raw talent and emcee battles.

Over a decade later, The Lyricist Lounge remains the premier forum for showcasing underground talent, serving as a springboard for some of the greatest emcees today, including Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Slick Rick, Eminem, Foxy Brown, MOP, Rah Digga, Guru, Bahamadia, Mobb Deep, Q-Tip, Common, The Roots, Sean “P-Diddy” Combs, and the late Notorious B.I.G., to name a few.

The saga continues, as The Lyricist Lounge brings in the new year with its latest installment: Crown Royal presents The Lyricist Lounge Tour 2002, with headline performances by Eric Sermon and Scarface. Kicking off on Friday, December 6th in Washington, DC, the tour also features guest performances by up-and coming artists Poverty, Blesenation, Killah Priest, and Grafh. The Lyricist Lounge Tour 2002 is also sponsored by Epic Records, Artist Direct and Recon Records.
