slick rick

As you all probably already know, Slick Rick was arrested during a performance on a Cruise Ship earlier this year due to a law in the US that states if you are a not a citizen of the United States and you have been detained in prison for more than five years, you must be deported. Slick Rick had previously served a five year prison sentence after he shot his brother back in 1990. The INS are now attempting to deport him back to the UK and have detained Rick, in Florida, for the last few months as they believe Slick Rick would be a Flight risk if was allowed to return to his home in New York.

Slick Rick's supporters have now come into the picture, backing up "The Ruler" over the way he has been treated and have even gone as far as launching an appeal to the President. Prior to Slick Rick's arrest, he had been working on his new album, "Ferocious", but obviously, this has been put on ice until this whole situation is settled.
