treach

Remember over two year ago, we reported that Treach was set to record a solo LP. Well, he's finally managed to get up off his ass and start recording one. The Naughty By Nature lead man will be covering topic such as his divorce with Pepa from Salt & Pepa and also about former friend, KayGee. He promises a hard, street album rather than the usual party tracks we usually expect from Naughty By Nature.

It's looking likely that the new Three Six Mafia Album, "Da Unbreakables" will be dropping on March 11th.

Proof's debut solo album, "Searching For Jerry Garcia" will adopt some new concepts upon it's release. Proof states that every song on the Searching 4 Jerry Garcia album will be associated with a musical era. Some of the songs titles are: "Janis Joplin," "Kurt Cobain," "Billy Holiday," "Neil Armstrong" and "72nd & Central" which he identifies with John Lennon. The album drops on February 18th. Y2Hiphop.com hope to interview the D-12 member next week to explain the album a bit more.

MC Serch, the man who discovered Nas and O.C., was on a radio interview the other night and talked about what he was up to recently. He is currently pre-occupied with his promotions company, but did state that he would like to record some tracks if the right offer came around as he still has a few issues who would like to address on wax. He says that he was approached by a London based record label by the name of Source Records recently.

Finally, DJ KaySlay is set to finally release an album. "The Street Sweeper Vol.1" is apparently scheduled for release on March 4th through columbia Records. Expect appearances from major hiphop acts on this one.
