Doug E. Fresh has signed a contract with the UK division of Def Jam. The hiphop veteran is the first US hiphop artist to sign with the UK version of Def Jam and has proclaimed that his album will be the first ever hiphop album to be solely recorded in the UK by an American artist. Doug E. plans to work with various artists and producers from the UK for his new album and also hopes to do something with Slick Rick in the near future.
This news follows the previous announcement of a new Doug E. Fresh album titled "Global Warming", two years ago. However, this time, it seems that Doug E. will be putting out that new solo album after all.
