It's been a wild year for Lexicon. Since releasing their debut LP in October of 2001, the sibling duo of Gideon and Nick Black (better known as Oak and Nick Fury) and DJ Cheapshot have done everything but slow down. And 2 singles, some guest spots, tours, tons of shows, and countless beers and late nights later--Lexicon is getting close to releasing their sophomore album. The album, entitled "Yovth is Yovrs" is slated to be released in late February 2003 on Spy Tech Records, with the lead single hitting radio and vinyl shops by the end of this year. With production by DJ Cheapshot, Apathy (Demigodz), and DJ Vice (Power 106), and guest spots by Dizzy Dustin (Ugly Duckling), Styles of Beyond, and Reggie Watts (of Seattle based rock group Maktub), Yovth is Yovrs picks up where "It's The L!!" left off and then some. "The new record is coming along just as well as we had hoped," Oak stated. "Each song we've recorded so far has a ton of thought and feeling in it, so it's shaping up to be a really solid record. I feel like we've matured a lot as artists since 'It's The L!!' and these new songs are reflecting that growth. We're just gonna keep making better and better music...it's a simple as that!" The album, which Nick claims takes place between a Friday and Saturday night, spans the emotions, moods, and experiences of being in your twenties and "enjoying every damn minute of it." So whether you're a Lexicon fan or simply a fan of good music, you've got a lot look forward to.
