They're back again... Alpha-n-Omega Magazine (www.alphabeats.com) and BattleoftheBeats.com are putting on BATTLE OF THE BEATS VI on August 30, 2002 with the help from guest judges CHOPS of The Mountain Bros., DJ CHEAPSHOT of Spy Tech, and DUTCHMASSIVE of Equilibrium... This contest is open to producers worldwide.. it doesn't matter where you're from.... Two brackets, Alpha and Omega, two conferences per bracket (Eastern and Western)... The Alpha Bracket is the main bracket containing Eastern and Western sub-brackets with 16 producers per bracket chosen by the Alpha-n-Omega staff. The Omega Bracket will also contain two sub-brackets that will contain beats from those producers that didn't make the Alpha Bracket... The top Alpha Bracket winner will receive:

*A cash prize
*Free entry into ALL future Battle of the Beats tournaments.
*A prize package containing music from Om Records (People Under The Stairs, Ming + FS, and more)
*An interview in AlphaBeats.com
*A story done on YOU in DJ Spooky's 21C Magazine
*A prize package containing music from Third Earth Music (Masterminds, Jean Grae, Oddjobs, DJ Black Panther, and more)
*And sound packages from Soundsforsamplers.com and Banginbeats.com

The Omega Bracket winner will receive promotional goods from our sponsors... So everyone that submits their instrumentals WILL be taking part in Battle of the Beats V.. either in the Alpha Bracket or the Omega Bracket... If you want to make it to that elite Alpha Bracket, you better come tight. So get everyone to enter this tourney.. Your sister, cousin, baby mama.. all that... With the combination of Internet voting, three celebrity judges (CHOPS of The Mountain Bros., DJ CHEAPSHOT, and DUTCHMASSIVE of Equilibrium), and one Alpha-n-Omega staff judge, the Eastern and Western Conference champs (of both Alpha and Omega Brackets) will battle through the rounds to eventually face each other. Now, only 16 producers from each region will be chosen for the Alpha Bracket, so make sure your tracks are tight. The final deadline for receiving submissions is Wednesday, August 28, 2002.
