D&D Records will start off their label deal with the release of the D&D compilation, "The D&D Project II", which will be released on July 16th. The compilation will be the studio's flagship product on their deal with RED Distribution, which was signed late last year. The first three singles that will lead off the album are from two new signees to the label and a group that has already impressed the masses with their witty, danceable tunes; the legendary Craig-G, new comer Jack Venom and QNC (Q-Ball and Curt Cazal). "I chose these artist to be the front runners for the album to show that we are coming with the heat." Says Doug Grama, President of the D&D label. Along with the aforementioned artist, "The D&D Project II" also features some of the most noted and acclaimed artists in the business. MCs such as Big Daddy Kane, Sadat X, Guru and Greg Nice come together on a track called "Hot Shit", while "Two Hits and Pass" takes it back to the old school and highlights the freestyle skills of Search, Big Tigger, Tony Touch, Steele, Mr. Eon, Buckshot and a new generation of D&D artist, as they battle and go round and round with the microphone for ten minutes in true b-boy fashion. Expect production credits from the likes of Easy-Mo-Bee, Da Beatminerz, Alchemist, Arabian Knight and DJ Premier.
