Slum Village have officially signed to Priority/Capitol Records. Priority made the announcement late last week that the trio are officially on board with them following the closure of their previous label, JCOR Records last month.

Talib Kweli's album has now been titled "Quality" and the album should hit stores in the Summer. Kweli is also planning a tour just before the albums release in promotion of his first solo release.

Apparently, there is rumours that there will be a joint AZ/Nas album sometime in the near future. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one though.

TommyBoy, from March 1st, became an Independant label after their deal with Warner Music Group expired on that very date. Many hiphop artists have moved to a new home after it was decided that TommyBoy would solely concentrate on the Dance music industry. De La Soul and Handsome Boy Modeling School have bounced to Elekra Records whilst Coo Coo Cal and Everlast have moved 'upstairs' to Warner.
