Talking about new signings, apparently Slum Village have been snapped up by another label already. After the closure of JCOR Records, Capitol Records were quick to pick up the signatures of the trio, so it's looking like that we may see this new album very soon after all.
It's been 2 years since Big Punisher passed away and with that in mind, it was recently announced that there will be a documentary about his life. "Still Not A Player" will be released next month and feature appearances from The Terror Squad, RZA, Nas
and Cuban Link.
As you all should know by now, Blackalicious' album is dropping April 30th on MCA records. According to Davey D, "Blazing Arrow" will feature appearances from the likes of Gil Scott Heron, Ben Harper, Dilated Peoples, Saul Williams, former Rage Against the Machine vocalist, Zach De La Rocha and MCA label mate Keke Wyatt. Production will come from the likes of ?uestlove, DJ Hi-Tek and Jurassic 5's Cut Chemist.
