Songwriter, Michael Lowe has upped his case against Dr. Dre and Xzibit over the plagurism allegation that Xzibit's "X" was actually HIS work. Lowe filed a lawsuit against Dre, Xzibit and his label, Loud and their parent label, Columbia Recotds, back in April, but it's finally now looking like that the case will make the courtroom. The single, "X" was credited to Dr. Dre and Scott Storch, but Lowe claims that he was the one who masterminded the beat. Apparently, Scott Storch, who was also credited for the production, had previously heard Lowe's original beat when Storch invited him to the studio he was working at. Storch then programmed his own beat that sounded exactly like Lowe's original work. After receiving advice from a music expert, who reported similarities between the two beats, Lowe decided to file a $1 Million lawsuit over copyright infringment.
