It seems that the forthcoming album from production crew, The Beatminerz, may be under threat of having to be delayed after the SOHH recently announced that Loud Records have come to some disagreement with Rawkus Records. Rumour has it that Loud has pulled all their artists from the forthcoming Beatminerz album "Braced For Impak'", which is currently set for release on July 31st. Loud acts such as M.O.P and Xzibit may end up missing from the LP.
See Also:Clive Davis' J Records continues to grow. The lastest acquisition for the new and fast growing label is Erick Sermon's Def Squad Records, which recently parted ways with Dreamworks Records. J Records will now release E-Dub's forthcoming new solo album "The Sermon" on August 7th, appearances from PMD, the rest of the Def Squad, LL Cool J, Dr. Dre, Too Short, LL Cool J, Foxy Brown and many more are expected. The deal with J Records also includes the signing of EPMD. As reported earlier this year, the pair of Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith are currently in the studio working on their new album, watch out for that in the near future. Redman & Method Man have just recently finished filming their forthcoming movie, "How High". The film, from the same producers of "Erin Brockovich", stars Red & Meth play a couple of blunt-smoking characters named Silas and Jamal and the whole movie is based on them somehow getting into Harvard after smoking some weed that makes them intelligent. As you can already tell, it's a comedy. The film is scheduled for a release early next year. Meanwhile, DefJam are set to invade the UK this Summer, it is expected that the pair will joing Ja Rule, Ludacris and Foxy Brown to peform some dates as part of DefJam's UK invaision. Looking forward to that.
