gangstarr

One of the greatest duos in hiphop, Gangstarr are currently working on their new album I'm pleased to hear. Guru and DJ Premier have already done three cuts for the new release which is expected for release in the early months of 2002 on Virgin Records. One of these tracks being titled "Culture Of Freedom". Appearances from Aaliyah, D'Angelo, Snoop Dogg and many more are expected for the new album. Watch out for that!!!

Apparently, Cappadonna was recently interviewed on a Dutch radio station and revealed that the new Wu-Tang Clan album would drop around Christmas time. I thought the album was supposed to have a 'Summer' feel to it

Royce The 5'9's eagerly anticipated debut will be titled "Rock City" and will drop, as revealed by the Y2Hiphop.com news staff exclusively a few weeks back, on July 17th. We've already told you that DJ Premier and Eminem have contributed to the album, you can also expect appearances from the likes of The Neptunes, The Alchemist, Twista and Ty Fyffe. Royce's group, D-Elite will also make an appearance on the album, which will be released by Columbia Records. Tracks on the album include first single "Danger", "Boom" and "Get The Paper". The album will be pretty versatile, so expect a few club joints on there too. Should be a nice album.

Yes, Indeed. Noreaga, of the platinum duo C-N-N, has just set a deal with Violator Films to bring urban realization to the screen as the new face of star power's late-night television. The HBO series he’s set to star in is just one of his deals resulting from Violator & AMG’s trailblazing roster into the world of films and TV. The upcoming series, "What, What", written, directed & created by the Queens' frontman is set for unveiling late Summer 2001. Be sure to also be ready for millions of "pop-up" guest appearances from Capone...undoubtedly...

Also, Ja Rule has just signed a deal with Violator Films to star in the 2002 film, "N.A.R.C", alongside Busta Rhymes & Kurt Russell with cameos from female rap vixens, Foxy Brown and Rah Digga. Violator has also just picked Ruff Ryders' video and record distribution up too.
