This year's second annual Detroit Electronic Music Festival is going to be all that. Not only because De La Soul, the Beastie Boys, DJ Mixmaster Mike and over 70 other acts are slated to appear, but because it's FREE! This year's festival, will take place May 26-28 at downtown Detroit's Hart Plaza and is sponsored by the Ford Motor Co.
There will be four stages set up during the festival, and some local Detroit acts will even spend the weeks before the event talking to children at schools and community centers about electronic music. Several hotels in the Detroit area will also be offering special package deals for those fans wishing to attend this year's festival.
