The new album from legendary rappers Run DMC has been pushed back to a April 3 release date. Crown Royal was supposed to be in stores February 27th. Collaborations with Aerosmith, the Beastie Boys, Slick Rick and Ol' Dirty Bastard did not make the final cut. But Jermaine Dupri, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Kid Rock, Method Man, Jagged Edge, Fred Durst, Everlast and Sugar Ray are on the album. In the meantime D.M.C. is releasing his autobiography, "King of Rock: Respect, Responsibility, And My Life With Run D.M.C., " on March 14, through St. Martin's Press. Will Smith wrote the introduction for the 224 page book. He is also releasing "Cadillac Car" the first single from his solo album Checks, Thugs, and Rock and Roll. D.M.C. has been open about his dislike for the Crown Royal LP which, was produced by Antonio "L.A. Reid, Run and Pete Ganbarg. This is their first album since 1993' Down With The King.
