Eminem's wife Kimberly Mathers filed for divorce Thursday in a Macomb County Michigan Circuit Court. Mrs. Mathers has asked for joint physical custody of their 5 year- old daughter Hailie Jade. She has also requested for a freezing of their financial assets until they reach a divorce settlement. The couple was headed for divorce in August when Eminem filed for divorce. His wife responded by filing a 10 million-dollar lawsuit against him for the intentional infliction of emotional distress through his songs and onstage performances. They settled the suit where Eminem would share legal custody of their child and Mrs. Mathers would retain physical custody of the child. Eminem agreed to drop the proceedings in December. But their attempts at reconciliation did not work and now their main concern is to provide what is best for their child.
