Ol' Dirty Bastard of the Wu Tang Clan just had another court date postponed until the 15th of March. Judge Joseph Grasso granted defense attorney Peter Frankel's request for continuance Friday at New York's Queens County Supreme Court. The rapper must face charges for an arrest that involved cocaine possession in July of '99. It is the eighth time the case's date has changed from its original time of August 13th. Most of the delays had to do with Ol' Dirty's rehab stays but he escaped his court-appointed time in a drug treatment facility in October. He was arrested the following month. Frankel requested the delay so that Los Angeles Superior Court can consider a request to make any sentence ODB receives in New York to run concurrently with a possible conviction in L.A. for parole violation. ODB pleaded not guilty on the possession charges. Dirty's California lawyer Anthony Alexander will confer with the L.A. prosecutor about seeking permission for him to enter his plea in writing. He fac! es charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Police allegedly found 20 bags of crack cocaine and an envelope of marijuana on his person at a traffic stop in Queens.
