WZEE-FM of Madison, Wisconsin is facing a Federal Communications Commission fine for playing an unedited version of an Eminem song. The stations's general manager, Jeff Tyler was notified that the station would have to pay $7,000 for playing the non-radio version of "The Real Slim Shady." Tyler says it was an accident because the DJ cued the radio version but static electricity caused the CD player to skip to the nasty track. Both tracks sound the same for 50 seconds and the DJ was not aware of the difference until someone in the building called and told him at which point he cut the it off. The song was play at 3:30PM August 24th. A copy of the FCC's order on the agency's official Web site says the lyrics of "The Real Slim Shady" " are inappropriate for broadcast during times when children may be in the audience." The FCC can regulate broadcasts that may be indecent or offensive between the hours of 6 A.M. and 10P.M. the order says.
