Rapper Eminem isn't due back in Macomb County, Mich. Circuit Court until Dec. 8, but when he arrives, county prosecutor Carl Marlinga is prepared to offer him a deal, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Eminem is charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of carrying a concealed weapon after a June 4 incident in which the rapper is accused of pulling a gun on his now-estranged wife, Kimberly Mathers, and another man, John Guerra, when he saw them allegedly engaging in a kiss in the parking lot of a Warren, Mich. If the rapper takes the deal, it won't lessen the possible jail time he faces, however. Either way, Eminem is still looking at up to 17 years in prison if convicted. "Whether we go to trial or whether he pleads, we are going to be asking for significant jail time," Marlinga told the Detroit Free Press. Eminem is also due in Oakland County, Mich. Circuit Court on Dec. 18, where he faces similar but unrelated gun charges stemming from a June 3 incident outside a stereo store in Royal Oak, Mich.
