Pop star Ashlee Simpson, who just married Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz, is going to stick with tradition and change her name. Ashlee said she will change her name to Ashlee Wentz in honor of her new husband.

The two were married May 17 in a wedding that featured an Alice in Wonderland-themed reception, and with dad Joe Simpson officiating the ceremony. Ashlee said privately she will go by the name Ashlee Wentz and professionally she will be Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

She told People.com, "I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marrying a man," she said. "It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition."

Pete said he left the name change decision up to Ashlee, but he is happy with her decision. According to People.com, the musician said her decision to change her name was flattering. He said, "Oh man, I was like upgrade me! You know what I'm saying? The Wentz family, our Christmas card just got upgraded! It feels insane. It feels unreal."
