The first grandchild of Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Martin Luther King III and his wife Andrea Waters King. Yolanda Renee King was born Sunday and weighed in at 7.5 pounds. “We are excited about our precious gift from God and cannot express how fortunate we feel to have out beautiful baby girl. It is truly the happiest day of our lives. I know my parents are smiling down from heaven,” said the new father in a statement.
