Maria Anne Thiebaud has denied that she is the cause of Shania Twain’s separation from husband Robert “Mutt Lange.” The 37-year-old had previously worked as the manager of the couple’s Switzerland home. Sources alleged that Lange has been having an affair with Thiebaud and their relationship was the cause of his split from Twain.

“When marriages break up, they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons – it’s never just one reason. And those reasons should be kept private. If you’re looking for a person that broke up a marriage, then you have the wrong person. I’m not that person,” Thiebaud tells E! News.

Lange and Twain have been married for 14 years and have a 6-year-old son, Eja.
