Josh Turner finds himself in the Top 20 on the national country charts with "Another Try," his duet with Trisha Yearwood.
In a previous outing, Josh earned a hit by pairing up with bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley on a gospel song. In contrast, "Another Try" is one of deep regret.
Josh told Y’all magazine the song is "one of the best ballads I’ve ever heard, period. It makes you feel what that guy is feeling in that song, that failure that he’s feeling. It’s very relevant to what people go through in everyday life."
The video features some gorgeous scenery, and Josh’s vocal performance of the song is quite convincing.
"The life that I live and the experience that I have always affect what comes out of me creatively," Josh said. "I think that’s what makes [my] music real."
Josh appears June 6 at Nashville’s NFL stadium, LP Field, during the CMA Music Festival. Others performing during that evening’s show — one of four concerts being shot for a fall special on ABC — include Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum.
