HENRY SIMMON

*Actor Henry Simmons led a panel of stars and professionals in an event at Dorsey High School in Los Angeles called “Peace Through Education.”

Each panelist encouraged the students to stay focused in taking their education seriously and to take positive steps toward getting a higher education despite the obstacles they face from peers and family.

Others who came to uplift and encourage the students included actress/comedienne Beth Payne (“BET Sunday Best”), Hot 92.3 DJs Victor Zaragoza and Josefa Salinas, Charmaine Jefferson (Executive Director of the California African American Museum) and Hollywood entertainment lawyer Lisa Boykin.

Simmons urged students to recognize God in their life and to have faith in themselves and to never give up.

Photographer/publicist Steven Williams, who organized the event, served as the master of ceremonies with Publicist Roz Stevenson.
