*When it rains, it pours for DMX. After months of inactivity in his camp, a sudden pair of arrests has the rapper back in serious legal trouble.
See Also:Three days after he was arrested and released on bail for a January speeding ticket, the artist was taken into custody Friday on drug and animal-cruelty charges following an overnight raid at his Cave Creek home north of Phoenix. The 37-year-old, born Earl Simmons, had tried to barricade himself in his bedroom during the 3 a.m. raid, but came out with his hands up when a SWAT team arrived, sheriff's spokesman Capt. Paul Chagolla told the AP. The arrest and search warrants stemmed from indictments for felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. During an August raid of his home, detectives seized 12 pit bull dogs, dug up remains of three others and found marijuana on the property. The MC made an initial court appearance Friday where bail was set at $7,500. As previously reported, DMX was arrested Tuesday by the Arizona Department of Public Safety after speed-enforcement cameras captured him going 114 mph on a suburban Phoenix freeway.
