Actress Uma Thurman just finished an exhausting court experience involving a man who has been stalking the actress for the last two years. While the stalker was convicted, Thurman may now be heading back to court over a different matter.
Thurman and the cosmetics company Lancome are in an on-going dispute. According to the Associated Press, the actress is demanding $1 million for unauthorized use of her name and face on Canadian billboards and Asian websites after her contract had expired in 2004.
Thurman had a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal with the firm. An attorney for the French company claims the contract relieves Lancome of responsibility if third parties use her name and face after the agreement lapsed. Lancome is countersuing Thurman concerning the advertising campaigns.
