Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon stepped out together Thursday night for the first time since their surprise wedding in the Bahamas last week.

The couple hit up Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World party in New York City.

Sporting his diamond-studded wedding band, Cannon, 27, watched Carey, 38 perform at the A-list event held at Jazz and Lincoln Center.

A slim Carey donned a skin-tight silver frock.

Later, the newlyweds hung out with music producer L.A. Reid and Oprah Winfrey's best pal Gayle King, and then hit up New York City hotspot Waverly Inn.

Before their April 30 wedding at her estate in the Bahamas, Carey had"Mrs. Cannon" tattooed on her back.
