Iron Man has been given a comic book boost thanks to the hit movie blockbuster’s director Jon Favreau.

The Swingers star has written a four-issue Iron Man comic book series, Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas.

The first of four Favreau Iron Man issues hit stores in America on Wednesday.

The moviemaker’s action film became the biggest opener of 2008 on Sunday with a $200 million-plus international box office take.
