Theatre impresario Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber will be honored with a Classical Brit Award at an upcoming ceremony.
Lloyd Webber, 60, is best known for his work in the realm of musicals - but he is also an accomplished classical music composer, having won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Classical Composition in 1986 for his piece Requiem Mass.
Now his achievements will be acknowledged as he receives one of seven prestigious trophies at this year’s event.
He says, "I am absolutely thrilled that my music is being recognized at this year’s Classical BRIT Awards and delighted to be receiving the award for an Outstanding Achievement In Music."
The gala evening will take place on Thursday at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
