Acting is not just for actors anymore, but for just about anyone who can afford it. Superstar Tom Hanks is offering one lucky eBay winner a chance to act in a play.

The multi-award winning actor has partnered with the eBay Giving Works organization to auction off a chance to land a speaking role in a play opposite his wife Rita Wilson. The play "The Taming of the Shrew" will air as part of the Shakespeare Festival in L.A. on May 19.

Aside from the acting job, the winning bidder will also get to mingle with Wilson's co-stars Annette Bening, William Shatner, Zach Braff, Tim Allen, Christina Applegate, David Schwimmer, and Sean Astin.

And as another bonus, Hanks will also record a personal message for the winner's answering machine.

The auction is scheduled to go on live on eBay Thursday until May 14.
