Country Singer Eddy Arnold Dies at 89

Eddy Arnold

Legendary country music singer Eddy Arnold has died only days before his 90th birthday. Arnold died at a care facility outside Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday morning.

Arnold was considered one of the most successful country singers in history with his many No.1 hits including “Make The World Go Away.” In 1966, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and in 1967 he won the Entertainer of the Year Award.

Other hits include “Cattle Call,” “Anytime,” “Bouquet of Roses,” and “Somebody Like Me.”

Arnold is survived by his son and daughter. His wife Sally died in March.
