Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz faces allegations for allegedly assaulting a fan during a show last June.
Andy Kallas claims that Wentz and his entourage wrongfully used physical force against him while attending a performance at Schuba’s Tavern in Chicago.
According to the Kallas’ attorney, his client sustained serious injuries to the head, mouth, and face after he was struck and kicked for several minutes by Wentz and his security team.
Wentz is being charged with assault and battery, false imprisonment, and negligence for his actions. Kallas is also seeking compensation for medical expenses, lost earnings and for the pain and suffering that he had to endure.
A spokeperson for Wentz told sources, “This case is meritless. We looked into it and the facts don’t support his claims. We will vigorously defend this case in court.”
Meanwhile Wentz denies the allegations and says that Kallas is just looking for “a quick payoff.”
He tells MTV, "This lawsuit is entirely without merit and will be vigorously defended. This is another in a long line of frivolous lawsuits that are filed against celebrities each year from individuals seeking a quick payoff when there is absolutely no justification for the claim."
