Actress Kate Hudson tops the list of PEOPLE'S 100 Most Beautiful People, and appears on the magazine's cover which will hit news stands Friday. The 29-year-old actress, and the mother of a 4-year-old son, Hudson talks about being beautiful in the issue.

Hudson, and 99 other beautiful people, grace the pages of the magazine, but Hudson is the lucky one to walk away this year as the most beautiful. The actress told the magazine that she was always a tomboy because she had three brothers and although she would put on a dress, she would also come back inside filthy and with scrapes and bruises. "But I was always very girly. I had to be able to twirl so that my underwear showed," she told the magazine.

Hudson also took time out to share her favorite body part, talk about how she lost her pregnancy weight and give a quick insight into actor Owen Wilson. She also told the magazine that her best time for looking good comes, "at the end of the night, when everything's soaked in and I'm still up. I like the leftover makeup in the morning. You've got to wash your face but there's always the leftover eye makeup, I love that."
