"Girls Gone Wild" producer Joe Francis says he was "amazed" by Ashley Dupre's legal suit against him. Francis, 35, says it is "incomprehensible" that the hooker who brought down New York governor Eliot Spitzer is suing him for $10 million claiming she did not give her consent when she appeared in his film years ago. He says in a statement Monday, "It is incomprehensible that Ms. Dupre could claim she did not give her consent to be filmed by Girls Gone Wild, when in fact we have videotape of her giving consent, while showing her identification." He continues, "She's seeking $10 million for topless photos taken in front of a room full of people, including two newspapers and multiple crews we had in the room. These images were taken in public places and contain no sexual contact. We expect to triumph in this matter and continue to offer the best and hottest girls." Dupre, 22, is suing the producer and his company for misuse of her name and image. The tape was shot when she just 17. After the infamous Spitzer scandal, Francis had offered Dupre $1 million to shoot for Girls Gone Wild, but he found out that she had already appeared in their film in 2003. To make his point clear, Francis ended his statement by saying a video in which Dupre can be seen giving her consent will be available online soon.

Date: Tue, May 6, 2008 08:51:34 PDT I have seen this tape! "Can I use this on 'Girls Gone Wild'?" she is asked. >>> "Have I ever ...what?" she asked. (Ashley was obviously very intoxicated) "Can I use this on 'Girls Gone Wild'?" she is asked, again. Than she replied,"Of course you can," F.Y.I.- I believe Ashley Dupre was a victim of sexual assault, and exploitation. When you consider this Ashley Dupre woman, imagine that she is your sister, or your Mother because Ashley Dupre could have happened to the women you care about. >>"Sexual assault of adolescent and adult women has been called a silent epidemic, because it occurs at high rates yet is rarely reported to the authorities." - "Attitudes about women's alcohol consumption also influence a perpetrator's actions and may be used to excuse sexual assaults of intoxicated women. Despite the liberalization of gender roles during the past few decades, most people do not readily approve of alcohol consumption and sexual behavior among women, yet view these same behaviors among men with far more leniency (Norris 1994). Thus, women who drink alcohol are frequently perceived as being more sexually available and promiscuous compared with women who do not drink (Abbey et al. 1996b). Sexually assaultive men often describe women who drink in bars as "loose," immoral women who are appropriate targets for sexual aggression (Kanin 1984; Scully 1991). In fact, date rapists frequently report intentionally getting the woman drunk in order to have sexual intercourse with her (Abbey et al. 1996b)." >> http://athealth.com/Practitioner/ceduc/alc_assault.html Submit Your Comments About This Article:
