"Girls Gone Wild" producer Joe Francis says he was "amazed" by Ashley Dupre's legal suit against him.
Francis, 35, says it is "incomprehensible" that the hooker who brought down New York governor Eliot Spitzer is suing him for $10 million claiming she did not give her consent when she appeared in his film years ago.
He says in a statement Monday, "It is incomprehensible that Ms. Dupre could claim she did not give her consent to be filmed by Girls Gone Wild, when in fact we have videotape of her giving consent, while showing her identification."
He continues, "She's seeking $10 million for topless photos taken in front of a room full of people, including two newspapers and multiple crews we had in the room. These images were taken in public places and contain no sexual contact. We expect to triumph in this matter and continue to offer the best and hottest girls."
Dupre, 22, is suing the producer and his company for misuse of her name and image. The tape was shot when she just 17.
After the infamous Spitzer scandal, Francis had offered Dupre $1 million to shoot for Girls Gone Wild, but he found out that she had already appeared in their film in 2003.
To make his point clear, Francis ended his statement by saying a video in which Dupre can be seen giving her consent will be available online soon.
