Cameron Diaz skipped a meeting with the press over her new movie ‘What Happens in Vegas’ but sent a handwritten letter along with her co-star Ashton Kutcher. Copies of the letter were passed along to journalist. Diaz thanked all of the fans who have shown their support and said she chose to stay with her family instead of promote the comedy.
“First of all I want to thank all of you for your support over the years. I was really looking forward to this weekend getting to talk to my friends about a film I am so proud of,” she said. Diaz added that because of “the loss of my father, I have chosen to be with my family this weekend.
The 35-year-old actress said that she and her family will continue mourning Emilio Diaz but will “share a good laugh” at a private screening of ‘What Happens in Vegas.’
“This weekend I am screening What Happens In Vegas for my family. It was a unanimous decision that we all needed to share a good laugh,” she added. “After all that’s why we make films like these. So people can leave behind their worries for a couple of hours. Have a good laugh.”
