Black Kids' clappy indie pop and shouty boy girl vocals drew an appreciative audience for their bounding performance in the Mojave tent this afternoon (April 25).
See Also:'I Wanna Be Your Limousine' demonstrated potential festival anthem status as the crowd sung back the refrain unprompted. Single "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance Wit You" continued the audience participation, triggering syncronised hand clapping and finger counting in time with the "1,2,3,4" lyrics from the fans at the front. Later in the afternoon, Dan Deacon played a set of thundering psychedelic instrumentals from in the very heart of the crowd. Dressed in tie-dye, the newcomer played as sweaty fans moshed around him. Meanwhile, veteran rockers Goldfrapp won over the crowd with a mix of old and new material in the Mojave tent. Looking stylish in a pink cape, Alison Goldfrapp created an eerie soundscape with her voice alone. The sizable crowd remained enthralled despite a competing set by The Raconteurs on the main stage.
