Former Playmate Carmen Electra and Korn guitarist Rob Patterson, 37, have recently announced they are engaged.

“He told friends three days ago that he got engaged,” adds a source. “The ring is a black diamond set in white diamonds.”

According to sources, Patterson popped the question on Electra’s 36th birthday while they were celebrating her birthday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“This relationship is different than the others. It’s so special. We both feel it’s an important thing right now, and we want to keep everything special, so we’re keeping everything secret for now,” says Electra.

Electra – who gained notoriety by posing for Playboy Magazine and starring in Baywatch – has already been married twice. She was briefly married to NBA star Dennis Rodman and to Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro for almost three years.

Electra & Patterson have been together for less than a year. No date for their marriage has been set.
