A staggering 85,000 people have posted profiles online in the hope of becoming Paris Hilton’s new best friend.

The wannabes are all keen to star alongside the socialite in MTV’s new reality show Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.

Only 20 will make the cut for the programme after Hilton fans vote for the best candidates online.
