Teen actress Hayden Panettiere is set to follow in the footsteps of former U.S.
vice president Al Gore - by releasing a film modelled after his Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
The Heroes star, 18, made waves last November when she took part in a protest against the slaughtering of dolphins in the historic whaling town of Taiji, Japan - resulting in local authorities issuing a warrant for her arrest.
Since then, she has further championed the cause by lending her name to the Save The Whales Again! campaign and heading to Washington D.C. to confront the Japanese, Icelandic and Norwegian embassies about their hunting practices.
Now one of her main priorities is an informative movie about the whaling industry, which she is convinced will be as groundbreaking as Gore’s global warming expose.
She tells British magazine Grazia, "It’s going to be the Inconvenient Truth of the oceans."
