Rapper Jay-Z is set to follow in the footsteps of wife Beyonce Knowles by appearing on the silver screen.

The hip-hop star is considering a career in the film industry once his record contract comes to an end.

He says, "I want to get into the movie business. I love films and that’s why I feel I would do a good job.

"My recording contract runs out after two more albums. Who knows what I will do after that."

Knowles has appeared in hit movies Dreamgirls, The Pink Panther and Austin Powers in Goldmember.
