"American Idol" contestant Kristy Lee Cook, who was voted off the show last week, recently took some time to speak about her experience on the show. Kristy Lee, who sold her favorite horse to buy a ticket to fly to the Idol auditions, left the show in the seventh spot from the top.
Kristy Lee, who endured harsh criticism from judge Simon Cowell throughout the entire competition, said she tried to take anything good that was said and not listen to the bad.
She also had to face being in the bottom three spot several weeks in a row, but said she didn't let it affect her. She said she didn't look back but kept looking forward during the reality singing competition.
She did discuss the week in which she had a 101 fever and could barely stand on stage and sing. She said she had the flu and bronchitis, had a horrible rehearsal, but still managed to sing.
Despite sometimes unfavorable comments from the judges, Kristy Lee developed a solid fan base with her positive attitude and pretty country voice.
