It pays for your dad to be one of Will Smith's BFF's. Just ask Connor Cruise, the son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman who just scored a minor role in Smith's upcoming drama, "Seven Pounds."
The 13-year-old African American brother of Suri Cruise will play a young version of Smith in a very minor role, according to People magazine.
Despite his close ties to Smith, Connor reportedly had to audition for the role, which will serve as his acting debut.
"Tom is so proud of Connor," a source tells People magazine. "He's proud of him for really doing this on his own."
In the Columbia Pictures film, currently in production, Smith plays a man who changes the lives of seven strangers. Costars include Michael Ealy and Rosario Dawson.
